Morocco Braces for Heavy Thunderstorms and Strong Winds
The Moroccan Directorate General of Meteorology (DMG) has issued a weather warning for Wednesday, forecasting heavy thunderstorms and strong winds across several regions.
Dense low clouds and fog are expected to blanket the plains along the Atlantic coast, stretching from the northwest down to the southern provinces, throughout the night and into the morning.
The eastern region of Morocco, along with the eastern slopes of the High and Middle Atlas Mountains, and parts of the Rif region, are expected to bear the brunt of the storm. These areas should brace for strong thunderstorms, potentially accompanied by hail and powerful wind gusts.
Scattered rain showers are also anticipated in the Souss and the southeastern provinces.
