Moroccan FM Bourita Holds Talks with Indonesian Counterpart in Bali
Morocco and Indonesia Strengthen Ties at Second Indonesia-Africa Forum
Bali, Indonesia – In a move signaling a deepening partnership, Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita met with his Indonesian counterpart, Retno Marsudi, on Monday in Bali. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the second Indonesia-Africa Forum, a significant event aiming to bolster cooperation between the two regions.
Representing King Mohammed VI at the forum, Minister Bourita’s presence underscores the importance Morocco places on its relationship with Indonesia. This meeting is the latest development in a series of positive interactions between the two nations. This positive momentum culminated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on December 22, 2023, in Rabat. This agreement laid the groundwork for a strategic partnership between Morocco and Indonesia, focusing on areas of mutual interest and benefit.
The Indonesia-Africa Forum, held on September 2nd and 3rd, serves as a platform for high-level discussions on trade, investment, and development. This year’s forum holds particular importance as it allows nations to explore new avenues for collaboration in a rapidly changing global landscape.
