Morocco Braces for ​a Mixed Bag of Weather as Temperatures⁤ Rise

Get ready for a ⁣diverse weather day ‍in Morocco! While some regions bask in the warmth, others might experience ⁣a sprinkle⁣ of rain. Here’s a closer‌ look ⁢at what​ Sunday’s forecast holds:

The Moroccan ‌Directorate General of Meteorology predicts a relatively hot day for the inland plains‌ of the north and center, as well as the southeastern and southern regions.

However, don’t pack away those​ umbrellas just yet! The ‍eastern High Atlas Mountains, the Middle Atlas, the northern High Atlas, and the southeastern slopes can expect scattered showers accompanied ⁤by​ thunder.‍ Meanwhile, the Mediterranean coast and the northern Rif⁢ region might see some‍ very light rain.

If you’re in the central and northeastern Atlantic⁢ plains, be prepared for some​ local fog patches during the night and morning. Tangier,‍ known for its ⁣breezy conditions, might experience⁣ particularly strong gusts of wind.

Temperature-wise, expect a comfortable range⁢ across the country.​ The southernmost parts⁢ of Morocco will ‌see ⁣lows between 22 and 29 degrees Celsius (72-84 degrees Fahrenheit). The Atlas and Rif regions will be cooler, with lows between‌ 11 and 17 degrees Celsius‍ (52-63 degrees Fahrenheit). The​ rest of the ⁣country will fall somewhere in ⁣between,‌ with lows ranging from 16 to 22 degrees Celsius (61-72 degrees Fahrenheit).

As the day progresses,⁤ the northern and central regions will experience a noticeable rise in temperature.

And what about the sea? The Mediterranean coast and the‌ Strait ⁣of⁣ Gibraltar⁤ can expect rough seas, while the waters ⁣between Jorf Lasfar and Tarfaya will be choppy. The rest of the ⁢coastline will see relatively calm to slightly⁢ rough​ seas.
