Morocco Weather Forecast for Wednesday
Morocco Braces for Warm Wednesday with Gusty Winds and Coastal Fog
Rabat, Morocco – The Moroccan Directorate of Meteorology is forecasting a relatively warm Wednesday across much of the country, with temperatures expected to climb in certain regions.
The plains west of the High Atlas Mountains, the southeastern corner of the country, the Souss region, and the southern provinces will experience these warmer temperatures. Residents and visitors can expect a pleasant day with plenty of sunshine.
However, the warmth will be accompanied by other weather events. Fog is anticipated to develop, particularly during the morning and evening hours, over the plains bordering the Atlantic Ocean and the northwestern reaches of the southern provinces. Meanwhile, those in the western Sahara regions should be prepared for localized dust scattering throughout the day.
Strong wind gusts are also on the horizon for several areas. The western Mediterranean coast, the Middle Atlas Mountains, the Moulouya Valley, and both the central and southern coastlines will likely experience these powerful gusts. Residents in these areas are advised to secure loose objects and take precautions against wind-related hazards.
Temperature Variations Across Morocco
Temperatures will vary across the country. The plains west of the High Atlas Mountains, the Chiadma region, the Souss region, the southeastern corner, and the southern part of the country will see lows between 20-26 degrees Celsius (68-79 degrees Fahrenheit). The rest of Morocco can expect cooler temperatures, with lows ranging from 15-21 degrees Celsius (59-70 degrees Fahrenheit).
Coastal Waters
The seas surrounding Morocco will see a mix of conditions. The Mediterranean coast and the Strait of Gibraltar will experience calm to slightly choppy waters. However, those venturing out onto the Atlantic coast should be prepared for rougher conditions, with seas ranging from slightly choppy to rough.
