Morocco’s Military Might Soars with Acquisition of Advanced US Missiles
In a move signaling deepening military cooperation, the US Pentagon has approved the sale of 40 AGM-154C Joint Standoff Weapon (JSOW) missiles to Morocco. This $250 million deal, announced on September 11, 2024, by the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), aims to bolster the capabilities of a key US ally in North Africa.
The sophisticated JSOW missiles, manufactured by Raytheon Technologies, are set to be integrated with Morocco’s fleet of F-16 fighter jets, significantly enhancing their offensive capabilities.
