Honoring Heroes: Morocco Remembers the 80th Anniversary of Operation Dragoon
Saint-Raphael, France - In a poignant ceremony held at the Boulouris National Cemetery, Morocco joined France in commemorating the 80th anniversary of Operation Dragoon, the Allied landings in Provence during World War II. Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch represented King Mohammed VI at the event, which was presided over by French President Emmanuel Macron.
Operation Dragoon, launched on August 15th, 1944, marked a pivotal moment in the liberation of France and Europe from Nazi occupation.
