Get Ready to Laugh: The Mandaghyigh Comedy Festival Returns to Saidia
The city of Saidia is gearing up for a laughter-filled August as it prepares to host the second edition of the Mandaghyigh International Comedy Festival. From August 22nd to 25th, the festival promises to bring a wave of humor and entertainment to the heart of the city.
This year’s festival, aptly themed “Laugh, You’re in Saidia,” will take place at the city’s Palace of Festivals. Organized in partnership with the Prefecture of Berkane, the Regional Council of Berkane, and the Municipality of Saidia, the festival highlights the power of comedy to bring people together.
The Mandaghyigh Festival is already making a name for itself in the world of comedy. The inaugural event in 2019 was a resounding success, featuring a diverse lineup of comedic talent from Morocco and beyond. Attendees were treated to side-splitting performances by graduates of the popular “Stand Up” program, as well as the comedic stylings of Algerian comedian Abdelkader Secteur, who headlined the opening night. The energy continued into the second day with a memorable performance by the ”Bomba Comic” troupe.
This year’s festival promises to be even bigger and better, with a star-studded lineup of comedic heavyweights. Audiences can look forward to performances by renowned Moroccan comedians like Mohamed Bassou and Eko, alongside the return of Algerian comedic sensation Abdelkader Secteur. The dynamic duo, Said and Ouadie, are also set to take the stage, promising an unforgettable display of comedic chemistry.
