Kenitra Authorities Contain Blaze at Cardboard Packaging Warehouse
Kenitra, Morocco – Local authorities in Kenitra successfully extinguished a fire that broke out Saturday afternoon at an outdoor storage facility. The facility, belonging to a company specializing in cardboard packaging, is located in the Lissasfa industrial zone of Kenitra.
While the exact cause of the fire remains under investigation, the quick response from firefighters prevented the blaze from spreading to nearby businesses. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
Fires in storage facilities, particularly those containing flammable materials like cardboard, can be devastating. The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) reports that U.S. fire departments respond to an average of 1,210 fires at industrial or manufacturing properties each year. These fires result in an annual average of two civilian deaths, 42 civilian injuries, and $112 million in direct property damage.
This incident underscores the importance of fire safety measures in industrial settings. Proper storage practices, fire suppression systems, and regular safety inspections are crucial for preventing and mitigating the impact of such incidents.
