Get ready for a dynamic weather day in Morocco! The General Directorate of Meteorology predicts a Thursday filled with varied conditions across the country.
The Rif, Western, Rehamna, and northern plains regions, along with the Saiss area, can expect scattered light showers. Meanwhile, the southernmost parts of the kingdom should brace for thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds and a chance of hail as the night sets in.
Those along the northern and central coasts might encounter dense fog patches or very light drizzle. Strong wind gusts are also anticipated in these areas. Further inland, towards the northeastern regions of the Sahara, local dust dispersal is expected.
Temperature-wise, expect a diverse range across Morocco:
Mountain Highs and Lows: The Atlas Mountains and eastern high plateaus will experience the coolest temperatures, ranging from a chilly 48°F (9°C) to a brisk 57°F (14°C).
Southern Warmth: The southernmost regions will enjoy the warmest temperatures, reaching a balmy 68°F (20°C) to 77°F (25°C).
Moderate Middle Ground: The rest of Morocco will experience moderate temperatures, ranging from 59°F (15°C) to 69°F (21°C).
As the day progresses, expect rising temperatures in the south and along the central coasts, while other areas experience a slight dip.
Seafarers take note:
The Mediterranean coast will see slightly rough to rough seas.
The Strait of Gibraltar and the stretch between Cape Spartel and Tan-Tan will experience rough to very rough seas.
The remaining coastal areas can expect slightly rough to rough seas.
