Morocco Braces‌ for Mixed Weather Friday: ‍Rain, Wind, ‍and Warm Temperatures

Get ready ‌for a mixed bag of weather this Friday as Morocco experiences a diverse ⁢range of conditions across its ⁤regions. From scattered showers in the north to warm temperatures in the south, ‌here’s a closer look at what’s ⁢in store.

The Moroccan Directorate General ‍of ⁣Meteorology predicts scattered showers‍ for the Tangier, Loukkos, and West Rif ⁣regions. Light rain or drizzle is also expected⁤ in the Gharb, Saiss, ‍Middle Atlas, Chaouia, ⁢Doukkala, and coastal ‍areas between‌ Tiznit ⁤and Laayoune.⁣

Meanwhile, the⁣ High Atlas Mountains and the extreme⁣ south⁢ of the country can expect scattered showers and thunderstorms.​ The ​southern⁣ regions will experience relatively warm temperatures.

Windy conditions are‌ also on ‌the horizon. Be prepared for local sand-carrying winds in the south, with potentially strong⁣ gusts in the southern regions, the⁢ Mediterranean facade, and near the ‌central coasts.

Temperature Swings Across the Country

Temperatures will vary significantly across Morocco. Expect ‌lows between 22 and 29 degrees ‍Celsius (72-84 ⁤degrees⁣ Fahrenheit) in the extreme south, 9 to 15 degrees Celsius (48-59 degrees ⁤Fahrenheit) in ‌the Atlas and ‍Rif regions, and ⁣14 to 21 degrees Celsius (57-70​ degrees⁤ Fahrenheit)⁢ in‍ the ⁤rest of the country. Daytime temperatures are expected to drop slightly.

Coastal ‌Conditions

The sea will be calm‍ to slightly choppy on the Mediterranean ​coast, slightly choppy in⁤ the Strait of Gibraltar, and ⁢slightly choppy​ to rough along the Atlantic coast. ‍
