Morocco Appoints New Security Chiefs in Major Cities
Moroccan National Security Appoints New Leaders in Reshuffle
In a move to invigorate public safety efforts, Morocco’s General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) announced a series of new leadership appointments on Wednesday. The reshuffling sees a wave of young, highly qualified professionals stepping into key positions within the national security apparatus.
This strategic move, endorsed by Abdellatif Hammouchi, Director General of the DGSN, aims to inject fresh perspectives and enhance citizen-centric security services. The newly appointed officials are tasked with upholding the DGSN’s commitment to ensuring public safety and protecting property.
The appointments include six crucial roles:
Five new Police Chiefs will take charge in the cities of Kelaa-des-Sraghna, Fez, Ouarzazate, and Essaouira.
A new Head of the Traffic Accident Department has been appointed in the Fez Security District.
* A new Head of the Police Administrative Annex will oversee operations in the Salé regional security sector.
These individuals were carefully selected based on their demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and commitment to serving and protecting Moroccan citizens. Their leadership is expected to bolster the sense of security within communities, improve the quality of police services, and strengthen the DGSN’s proactive approach to crime prevention.
This initiative aligns with the DGSN’s overarching security strategy, which emphasizes community engagement and accessible, responsive service delivery. By empowering a new generation of security leaders, the DGSN is taking proactive steps to ensure the safety and well-being of all Moroccans.
