Alleged Bribery Scandal Rocks Tetouan Court: Lawyer Accused of Stealing $60,000 from Detainee’s Family

Tetouan, Morocco – A shocking allegation of bribery has surfaced in the Tetouan Court of Appeal, shaking public trust and raising ⁤serious questions about legal ethics. A lawyer from the Tetouan Bar Association is facing ⁣accusations‍ of swindling $60,000 from‌ the family of​ a detainee,‍ promising a reduced sentence ​in exchange for the hefty sum.

The alleged victim’s wife claims she handed over​ the money to the ⁤lawyer, who⁢ assured her it would be passed‌ on to a judicial ‌body to secure a reduced sentence for her husband. The man⁢ had‍ been sentenced to‌ eight years in prison for jewelry theft. The lawyer reportedly promised to leverage the money to reduce⁢ the sentence‍ to four years. ⁢
