Moulay Abdellah Amghar Festival Set to Illuminate El Jadida with Extended Celebration
El Jadida, Morocco – Anticipation is building for the highly anticipated Moulay Abdellah Amghar Festival, one of Morocco’s largest cultural events. Mohammed Amehdiya, Governor of the Casablanca-Settat region, recently visited El Jadida to personally oversee preparations for the 2024 festival, emphasizing the importance of a successful and vibrant celebration.
Governor Amehdiya, accompanied by the Governor of El Jadida, toured the festival grounds and issued directives to ensure a seamless experience for all attendees. Key priorities include comprehensive public lighting throughout the festival area to enhance safety and security, along with the installation of floodlights for optimal visibility. Access to clean drinking water is also paramount, with plans in place for regular supply and efficient management to meet the needs of festivalgoers.
Collaboration emerged as a central theme, with the Governor stressing the need for effective coordination and active participation from all stakeholders, partners, and local actors. This collaborative approach aims to create a truly inclusive and engaging festival experience.
Known for its vibrant display of Moroccan culture and traditions, the Moulay Abdellah Amghar Festival is a significant event on the Moroccan calendar. This year, for the first time, the festival will be extended to a ten-day celebration, running from Friday, August 9th to Sunday, August 18th. This expansion promises an even richer and more immersive experience for attendees, further solidifying the festival’s position as a cornerstone of Moroccan heritage.
